                    As one of the oldest engineering disciplines, civil engineering forms the foundation for most of society’s infrastructure including buildings, roads, bridges, highways, dams, and canals. Our civil engineering department is staffed with some of the best professors in the industry and is focused on providing students with a strong foundation in science and engineering. Our goals: Equip students with a firm foundation in civil engineering, foster critical thinking and innovation, encourage ethical and professional principles, and inspire lifelong learning. Aid and support the continued career growth of students and alumni. Champion advancements in civil engineering through well-funded research, and participations in conferences, publications, community development, and corporate partnerships.
